AutoDrive Online for Mac 2.0.1
Released April 27, 2026 · the inaugural public release of the new Mac app, replacing the previous AutoDrive desktop app.
A native Mac app, end to end
- Single-window, multi-tab interface. Tabs are
drag-to-reorder, each tab keeps its own session state, and
switching between them is instant — no reload, no page jump.
- Tabs restore on launch. Quit with five tabs
open, relaunch with the same five — landing right back on the
last-active one. Toggle this off in View → Restore Last
Active Tab on Launch.
- "New Tab" page with a quick-action card grid
instead of dumping you on whatever the previous tab was viewing.
- Custom in-window tab bar — no native macOS
window tabs, no surprise extra windows. One window, always.
- Tab loading splash shows the AutoDrive icon
while a tab boots, instead of the dark WKWebView default
flashing through.
Quick actions in the toolbar
- Gas, Charging, and Traffic finders — three
toolbar pills open a centered sheet with a hero search field,
suggestion list, and a one-click "Use my current location"
button.
- Dashboard and Account Groups
buttons in the toolbar when you're signed in.
- Toolbar items hide automatically when you're signed out so the
sign-in screen stays clean.
Keyboard shortcuts
- ⌘T new tab · ⌘W close tab
· ⌘⌥]/[ next/previous tab
- ⌘F find on page · ⌘G /
⇧⌘G next / previous match
- ⇧⌘D new driver ·
⇧⌘V new vehicle ·
⇧⌘F log fuel ·
⇧⌘C log charging session
- ⇧⌘H overview / dashboard
Mac-native integrations
autodrive:// URL scheme. "Open in
AutoDrive" links work from anywhere on your Mac — Mail,
Messages, Shortcuts, the terminal, you name it. They route to
whatever tab you're already in.
- System notifications through Notification
Center — drive reminders, LiveDrive consent prompts, and any
future server-pushed alert. Asks for permission on sign-in.
- Native Share sheet support from the web app.
- In-page Find with its own compact bar in the
top-right — Enter / Shift+Enter step through matches, Esc
dismisses.
- Print works correctly for Reports and Import
Data flows that previously hit a "no printing" alert.
Sign-in & account safety
- Welcome wizard on first launch.
- Closing all tabs on logout so the sign-in screen doesn't render
against a stale background.
- Help → Clear All Cache… — a true
factory reset that signs you out, clears cookies, local
storage, and the HTTP cache, and drops you back at the welcome
screen.
Window behavior
- Window opens centered at 85% of your screen and pins as a
minimum, but you can resize up and go full-screen freely.
- Multi-monitor friendly — moving the window to a different
screen recomputes the minimum against that screen's size.
LiveDrive support
The Fleet-only real-time driver tracking add-on is fully supported
— the live map, per-driver enable toggle, consent banner, and admin
DPA modal all work out of the box. Live broadcasting itself runs
from the iPhone / Android driver apps; the Mac app sees the same
live data any browser would.
Updates
The Mac app updates itself in the background — no manual download
needed. Each update is signed end-to-end with both Apple's
notarization and a separate AutoDrive signing key, so an attacker
couldn't push a tampered version to your Mac even if our servers
were compromised. Force a check any time from
AutoDrive Online → Check for Updates…
System requirements: macOS 13 Ventura or later. Universal binary
(Apple Silicon and Intel).
