🔄 Switching Between Groups

If you belong to more than one group (your household + a work fleet, say), the switcher picks which one the app is currently showing.

You can belong to any number of account groups. At any moment the app is showing one of them — we call that the active group. Every drive you log, every fuel entry you save, and every report you run uses the active group.

Mobile (iOS & Android)

Go to Settings → Account Groups. The top section lists every group you belong to with a checkmark on the active one. Tap any other group to switch. The switch is immediate and stays until you change it again (even across launches).

Web (theautodriveapp.com/online)

A pill-shaped group name sits in the top bar next to your profile. Click it to drop a menu of every group; click one to switch. The page you're on will reload under the new scope so drives, reports, and vehicles all refresh.

What actually changes when I switch?

All of it:

  • My Drives shows only drives recorded by the active group. (On Online, fleet groups label this section Drive Log.)
  • Vehicles lists the active group's vehicles.
  • Reports filter by the active group.
  • Fuel, Charging, and Drivers scope the same way.
  • Subscription entitlement is per-group — see AutoDrive Personal vs Fleet.

What happens to a drive while I'm mid-trip if I switch?

Nothing. Drives are locked to the group that was active at drive start. If you swap groups while AutoDrive is recording, the drive still saves to the group it started in. This prevents a family drive accidentally attributing to the work fleet just because you checked a fleet report at a stoplight.
