🔧 AutoCare — what it is and how to subscribe

AutoCare is an optional add-on that turns each vehicle's record into a full service & maintenance dossier: visit-by-visit history, per-vehicle schedule, due-soon and overdue reminders across push / email / in-app, a shop directory, NHTSA recall lookup, and a resale-ready PDF export.

Free 1-vehicle hook

Every AutoDrive account — Free, Personal, Family, or Fleet — gets AutoCare on one vehicle for free. The free slot is your oldest vehicle (the first one you added to the account). Use it to feel the feature on your daily driver before deciding whether to add the rest of the group.

What the add-on unlocks

• Service history, schedule, reminders, observations, and PDF export on every vehicle in the group, not just the free one
• The Shops & Vendors directory (curating shops is an account-wide concern, so it ships with the add-on)
• The AutoCare blocks in Report Builder (Service History, Service Cost Analysis, Upcoming Maintenance, Tax-Deductible Services)
• The AutoCare dashboard widget (severity rollup + open-recall count)

What stays free regardless

NHTSA recall lookup is free for every user, on every vehicle, regardless of AutoCare status — recall data is safety-critical public information and we don't paywall it. The recall page just appears under the AutoCare nav because it's thematically the same surface.

Pricing

$3.99 / month or $34.99 / year (about 27% off the monthly rate). One subscription covers the whole account group — it's a group-level add-on, not per-user.

How to subscribe

Open Billing & Add-Ons from the user menu in the topbar and find AutoCare in the add-on list — it shows the yearly price and your savings. Click Subscribe, choose Yearly or Monthly, and finish at checkout. The add-on activates immediately. Cancel anytime — your data sticks around on the gated vehicles, just hidden until the add-on comes back.
