🎯 Dashboard Goals & Targets

Set optional per-metric targets — distance and drive goals, spend budgets, and cost, score, and safety targets — and your dashboard cards show how you are tracking against them.

Goals & Targets let you give your AutoDrive Online dashboard something to measure against. Set a target on any of a handful of metrics and the matching card grows a small progress bar — and, where it has a sparkline, a dashed goal line — so you can see at a glance whether you are on track. Leave a metric blank and its card keeps its normal breakdown bars.

Opening Goals & Targets

There are two ways in, and both edit the same shared targets:

  • Quick popup — click Goals & Targets under Settings in the sidebar (or the top menu bar). It opens as a pop-up right over whatever page you are on, so you can tweak a target without leaving the dashboard.
  • Settings page — open Settings and choose the Goals & Targets tab for the same form full-screen.

Setting a target

Each metric has a row with three controls:

  • Target — the number you are aiming for (a distance, a count, a dollar budget, a score). Typing a value switches the row on automatically.
  • Per — how the target is measured. Per month and per week are rates that scale to the date range you are viewing — a $600 / month budget shows about $140 on a 7-day window and the full $600 on a month. Per view instead uses your number as-is for whatever date range is shown, without scaling — handy for a one-off target on a custom range. Rate and score targets (cost per mile, driving score, harsh events) have no period.
  • On / off — the toggle that shows or hides the goal on the dashboard. Turn a target off to keep the number without showing the bar.

Click Save goals. If you used the pop-up, it closes and the dashboard updates in place when it is the page underneath; otherwise the change shows the next time you open the dashboard.

What you can target

  • Total Distance and Total Drives — a goal to reach in the period.
  • Fuel, Charging, and Total Spend — budgets you want to stay under.
  • Cost per Mile and Maintenance Spend — cost targets, where lower is better.
  • Driving Score — a safety score to hit.
  • Harsh Events — a cap on the harsh-event rate per 100 miles, where lower is better.

How goals show on the dashboard

  • Progress / budget bar — appears on the card. Budgets and rate targets run green while you are under, amber as you get close, and red once you are over; distance, drive, and score goals fill toward 100%.
  • Goal line — cards with a sparkline also draw a dashed line at the target, so you can see which days or months crossed it.
  • Hover for the numbers — point at any bar or line to see the exact figure, your share or percentage, and what the target is.

Budgets prorate to the date range you are viewing. A $600 / month fuel budget shows as roughly $140 on a 7-day window and the full $600 on a month. Annual Maintenance budgets compare against your spend so far this year.

Who can set goals

Goals & Targets needs an active AutoDrive subscription. On a free plan the cards keep their normal breakdown bars and the goals form is locked — subscribe to set targets. If a subscription lapses, your saved goals are kept but hidden until you resubscribe.

Goals belong to the account group, not to one person, so everyone viewing that group sees the same targets on every device. The group's owner or an admin can change them; other members see them but the form is read-only. Switching groups — say from your personal group to a fleet — shows that group's own goals. For the full tour of the dashboard grid, see Dashboard Widgets.

Report on your goals

To put attainment in a shareable PDF, open the Report Builder and pick the Goals & Targets Report preset (under the new Goals group), or drag in the Goals Summary, Goals Scorecard, Goals by Driver, and Goal Trend blocks. Each target is prorated to the report's date range and compared to the actual for that range, so you can report attainment for any period.
