🗃 Glovebox (Documents & Renewals)
📄 Adding and Organizing Documents
Store insurance cards, registration, title, inspection and more — attached to a vehicle or to your account — with an optional photo or PDF and the dates that matter.
Each document in Glovebox has a type, an optional file (a photo or PDF of the document), and the dates that matter. Choose Add document on the Glovebox › Documents page to create one.
Document types
- Insurance — proof of insurance / policy card.
- Registration — vehicle registration and tags.
- Title — the title or lien release.
- Inspection — safety inspection certificate.
- Emissions — emissions / smog certificate.
- Warranty — factory or extended warranty, tracked by date and by mileage.
- Loan / lease — financing paperwork.
- Other — anything else you want to keep with the car.
Attached to a vehicle, or to your account
Most documents belong to a specific vehicle — pick it when you add the document. You can also store an account-level document by leaving the vehicle blank; those stay available regardless of the add-on.
Fields you can fill in
- Issuer and identifier — e.g. "State Farm" / policy number, or "NC DMV" / plate number.
- Issued on and expires on — the expiry date drives reminders. Leave it blank for documents that don't expire, like a title.
- Reminder lead time — how many days before expiry to start reminding you (30 by default).
- File — attach a clear photo or a PDF so you always have a copy on hand.
Edit or remove a document any time from its card. Deleting is a soft delete — it leaves your vault but your other records are untouched.
