🔔 Renewal and Expiry Reminders

Glovebox tracks each document's expiry date and warns you with red / amber / green status plus push, email and in-app reminders, so registration, inspection, emissions and insurance never lapse.

For any document with an expiry date, Glovebox tracks how close it is and reminds you before it lapses. The Renewals page lists everything coming up or overdue, soonest first.

Status colors

  • Red — overdue. The document expired and needs attention now.
  • Amber — due soon. Inside the reminder window (30 days before expiry by default, adjustable per document).
  • Green — OK. Beyond the reminder window.

Documents without an expiry date (such as a title) simply have no status — there is nothing to renew.

How you are reminded

As a document enters its reminder window, AutoDrive notifies you by push, email, and in-app (the bell icon). Choose which of those channels you want — or set quiet hours so nothing arrives overnight — under Settings › Glovebox Reminders, independent of your AutoCare, Tolls, and Permit reminders. We remember that we have reminded you so you are not pinged on every check; moving the expiry date forward after you renew re-arms the reminder for next time.

Warranty by mileage

A warranty document can also track a mileage limit. Glovebox compares it against the vehicle's odometer, so a 36,000-mile bumper-to-bumper warranty warns you as you approach the limit, not just on a calendar date.

Tip: set the lead time that suits you

Registration and inspection often need a trip to a shop or the DMV, so a longer lead time (45–60 days) gives you room to schedule. For things you can renew online in minutes, the default 30 days is plenty.
