🔄 How Data Sync Works

AutoDrive uses a local-first architecture. Every drive, vehicle, and fuel log is saved to your device immediately. You never lose data because of a network hiccup.

Once connectivity is available, the app pushes your local changes to the AutoDrive server over a secure HTTPS connection. At the same time, it pulls any changes made on other devices that are signed into the same account. This bidirectional sync keeps all of your devices up to date.

Sync happens automatically in the background. You do not need to tap a button or take any action. When a new drive finishes recording, it is saved locally first and then uploaded within seconds if you have an internet connection.

If a conflict arises because the same record was edited on two devices, the most recent change wins. AutoDrive timestamps every edit so it can resolve conflicts consistently without losing data.

Only drives that are fully recorded — with a distance, duration, or route — are accepted by the server. This keeps empty auto-tracker false starts from cluttering your history.
