📋 IRS-Ready Mileage Reports
AutoDrive ships three pre-built templates aligned to IRS substantiation rules: Mileage Log, Business Mileage, and Vehicle Expenses.
AutoDrive's Report Builder ships three pre-built templates aligned to IRS mileage-log substantiation requirements (Pub. 463 / Form 2106 / Schedule C):
- IRS Mileage Log — totals + a drive-by-drive list with date, route, and miles. The minimum the IRS expects.
- IRS Business Mileage — totals, a per-vehicle rollup, and the trip list. Best for the standard mileage method (57.5¢ per business mile).
- IRS Vehicle Expenses — everything above plus fuel and charging receipts. For the actual-expense method where you deduct real fuel / lease / maintenance costs.
Not legal advice
AutoDrive structures your data to match the IRS's documentation expectations, but we're not a tax preparer. For anything ambiguous — what counts as a business trip, whether you can claim vehicle expenses on top of standard mileage, how to treat a mixed-use vehicle — talk to a CPA or tax professional.

These templates pair with the driver taxpayer / IRS details on the driver profile so the generated PDF has both the trip data and the identifying information required on an audit-ready log.
