⏹ Pause or Revoke LiveDrive (Driver)
Drivers can pause LiveDrive for up to 24 hours, or revoke consent entirely, with one tap.
If you’re a driver in a Fleet group with LiveDrive enabled on your account, you have two controls available at any time from Settings → LiveDrive on iOS, Android, or AutoDrive Online:
Pause
Pause stops broadcasts for a number of minutes you specify (1–1440, i.e. up to 24 hours). The on-screen banner switches to "Paused until …", and the server suppresses any positions your device tries to send during that window. After the pause expires, broadcasting resumes automatically — consent does not need to be re-accepted.
You can also tap Pause 1h directly from the green banner that appears at the top of the app while broadcasting, without opening Settings.
Revoke
Revoke is the harder stop. It clears your stored consent, disables the per-driver settings row, and immediately deletes your live position from AutoDrive’s servers. Your fleet admin can re-enable you later, but you will see a fresh consent prompt before any broadcasts resume.
Battery and data usage
LiveDrive uses your device’s GPS and a network request roughly every 30 seconds while active. This can be a meaningful battery and mobile-data drain on long shifts. If you only need broadcasts during actual drives, enable Auto only when driving in your LiveDrive settings — the device skips broadcasts whenever AutoDrive isn’t actively recording a drive.
Stale broadcasts
Markers age out on the admin Live Map after 90 seconds, and broadcasts dropped due to no signal or low GPS accuracy are never queued for later send. AutoDrive prefers a missing point to a stale or imprecise one.
