📄 Saving Report Templates

The Report Builder's Template picker (top-left of the toolbar) ships with two groups of built-in layouts and a third group for anything you save yourself:

• Default Templates — Drive Summary, Monthly Mileage, Fuel Summary, Charging Summary, Full Report.
• IRS Compliance — Mileage Log, Business Mileage, Vehicle Expenses (actual-expense method).
• My Templates — your own saved layouts. Appears once you save at least one.

Saving a layout

Drag the blocks you want onto the canvas, set the report title, then click the Save icon next to the picker. Pick a name; saving with a name that already exists overwrites that template (no duplicates). Only the block order and the report title are saved — dates and vehicle filters stay configurable every time, so a weekly-expense template stays useful week after week.

Using a template

Open the picker and click the template you want. The canvas clears and the template's blocks are stamped in order, with the saved title applied to the toolbar. Change dates / vehicle / driver header and generate the PDF normally.

Deleting your saved templates

Click the trash icon next to the picker. A modal lists your templates with an individual delete button for each. Default and IRS-compliance templates can't be deleted — they ship with the app and update automatically when we refresh them.

Templates follow you across devices

Templates are saved to your AutoDrive account, not your browser. Sign in on another device and your saved templates come with you.
