🛡 Safe-Driver Report

The Safe-Driver Report turns your AutoDrive driving into a single, shareable Safe-Driver Score from 0 to 100 — a verified summary you can hand to an insurer for a usage-based-insurance (UBI) discount, or just keep as proof of a clean record. It’s the scored, shareable companion to Driving Insights, built from the very same harsh-event data — there’s nothing new to turn on.

Where to find it

In AutoDrive Online, open Reports › Safe-Driver Report in the sidebar. Pick a period (last 3, 6, or 12 months) and, if you have more than one driver or vehicle, narrow it to a specific driver or vehicle. A driver-role member always sees their own report.

How the score is built

Your score starts at 100 and comes down based on the harsh-driving events AutoDrive already records — harsh braking, hard acceleration, and hard cornering, each weighted by how severe it was (the same mild 2 / moderate 5 / severe 10 weighting used by your per-drive Drive Score). Crucially, it’s normalized by distance — events per 100 miles — so a couple of events on a long, careful month barely move the needle, while the same events packed into a few short trips count for more. A small, capped adjustment accounts for the share of miles you drive after dark. The result maps to a plain-English grade: Excellent, Very good, Good, Fair, or Needs improvement.

What’s in your score

• Smooth braking, gentle acceleration, and cornering — each shown as events per 100 miles, color-coded green / amber / red.
• Speeding — shown for completeness; flagged only once AutoDrive ships speed-limit detection (see Driving Insights).
• Night driving — the share of your miles on trips that start after dark.
• Headline totals — total miles, trips, hard events, and hard-events-per-100-miles — plus a month-by-month score trend.

Sharing & verification

Choose Share with insurer to generate a short verification code that looks like SDR-7F3A-92QK. Anyone you give the code to can confirm the report at theautodriveapp.com/verify — they’ll see the score, grade, period, mileage, and factor summary exactly as you shared them. Because the figures are looked up on AutoDrive’s servers from the code, a shared link or PDF can’t be edited after the fact — it’s tamper-evident.

By default a shared link stays valid until you revoke it. If you’d rather it lapse on its own, set Link expires to 30 days or 90 days before you generate the code — after that date, anyone who tries it sees that the link has expired. To change the expiry on a link you already shared, choose Stop sharing and generate a fresh one.

Export a PDF

Export PDF produces a clean, one-page report — score gauge, factor breakdown, trend, and the verification code — ready to email or upload. The exported file carries the same verifiable code, so the recipient can confirm it the same way.

Insurance discounts

Many insurers offer a discount for a clean, verifiable driving record; scores of 90+ commonly see 5–15% off premiums. When a partner program is available, See offers on the report links you to it.

Your privacy

A Safe-Driver Report is only ever shared when you choose to share it. The verification page shows just the summary you shared — never your trip routes or locations. AutoDrive does not sell your location data. You can stop honoring a shared link at any time: choose Stop sharing next to the verification code, and anyone who tries the old code at theautodriveapp.com/verify will see that it has been revoked. Sharing again afterward issues a brand-new code.
