🗘 Restoring Your Subscription on a New Device
If you've reinstalled the app or switched phones, tap Restore to pick up the subscription you already bought.
You don't need to buy the subscription again when you switch phones, reinstall the app, or move between your iPhone and iPad. The App Store (or Play Store) already knows what you own — we just need to re-check with them.
How to restore
- Open the Account Groups screen.
- Find the Subscription row.
- Tap Restore Purchases.
Within a few seconds we'll ask Apple (or Google, or Stripe) for everything you currently own and refresh the group's entitlement. Premium features unlock immediately.
Cross-store restores
Restore works within a single store account. Subscriptions you bought on iPhone restore on your iPad and any other iPhone signed in to the same Apple ID. They do not restore on an Android device or on the web — those are separate stores with separate receipts.
But because the subscription is attached to the group, you don't need a cross-store restore: if your iPhone bought AutoDrive Personal for your household, the Android user in the same household already sees premium features without buying anything. Restore is only needed if you're the original purchaser, on a new device, on the same store.
What if Restore says "No purchases to restore"?
Two common causes:
- You're signed in to a different App Store / Play account than the one that made the purchase. Switch to the right account in your phone's Settings — not the AutoDrive app — and try again.
- The subscription actually expired or was refunded. Open the App Store's Subscriptions screen (or Play Store → Subscriptions) to check. If it's expired you can re-subscribe from the same Account Groups screen.
If neither of those is it, contact Support with the date and store of the original purchase and we can look it up.
