Mileage Tracker for Families
Every driver, every car — one shared account the whole family can see.
Permit hours for a new teen, the college kid borrowing the wagon, or just “who took the van Saturday?” — AutoDrive tracks every trip automatically and rolls it all into one family view.
Family Dashboard
Everyone’s miles, trips & driving scores in one shared view.
Built for the way your family actually drives
One car with three drivers, one driver with two cars, a new teen, a borrowed wagon — AutoDrive keeps it all straight, automatically, without anyone remembering to press start.
Shared family account
Everyone joins one account group. Drives, vehicles, and history are visible to every member — with the right role for each person.
Every trip attributed
Each drive locks to the driver who took the car the moment it starts. Parents see the family rollup; each driver sees their own log.
Shared drive history
Every trip lands in one shared log — who drove, where, and how far — automatically, with the route mapped for each completed drive.
Driving safety score
Every drive earns a 0–100 score. Hard braking, sharp acceleration, cornering, and speeding are each flagged — perfect for a new driver.
Per-driver & per-vehicle
Miles, costs, fuel, and scores broken out by person and by car — so the numbers settle themselves instead of getting argued over.
Coach a new driver
Total supervised permit hours, then review a trip together with every harsh event pinned right on the route map. Let the data do the nagging.
One account. Everyone on the same page.
Set up a household group once and invite each driver by email. Everyone signs into the same picture — the cars, the drives, the history — and each person gets a role that fits.
- Roles that fit. Owner and Admin manage the group; Drivers log trips against the household’s vehicles.
- Invite by email. Send an invite, they accept, and their drives roll into the family view.
- Up to 5 drivers & 5 cars on Personal — add more any time as your household grows.
Smith Household
Every trip, attributed to the right driver
AutoDrive tracks each drive automatically and files it in one shared log the whole household can see — locked to whoever took the car when the trip began. No more “who drove the van Saturday?”
- Auto-tracked & attributed. Each trip is named “My Drive #N” and locked to its driver the moment it starts.
- Business or personal. Classify a drive in a tap — deductible miles stay separate from the school run.
- Filter by driver or car. Pull up just Maya’s trips, or everything the minivan did this month.
Family Drives
Every trip, attributed to whoever took the car.
Coach a new driver with data, not nagging
Every drive earns a score from 0–100. Hard braking, sharp acceleration, hard cornering, and speeding are each detected and pinned right on the route map — so you can sit down with your teen and review what actually happened.
- A score per drive. Color-coded green / amber / red, trending over time per driver.
- Events on the map. Each harsh event drops a pin where it happened — mild, moderate, or severe.
- Review together. “See that hard brake on Oak St?” beats “drive more carefully.”
Every driver, every car — one clear picture
The family dashboard rolls everyone up: how the miles split across cars, who’s driving the most, and which drives need a closer look. The same picture for everyone in the group, on every device.
- Distance by vehicle. See exactly how the minivan, the Tesla, and the Civic share the road.
- Lowest-scoring drives. The trips worth a conversation float to the top, color-coded.
- Settle the math. Per-driver miles and fuel make allowance and reimbursement easy.
Private by default. Safe by design.
AutoDrive is in the mileage business, not the surveillance business. Your family’s routes stay yours — and the cars everyone drives stay safe.
Your data stays yours
Routes are recorded on each phone first and sync privately to your group — never posted publicly, never sold. No advertising IDs — ever.
Every car checked for recalls
Free AutoCare recall lookups flag open NHTSA safety recalls on every family vehicle, so the car your kid drives is one you trust.
Made for real family situations
However your household shares the keys, there’s a clean answer at the end of the month.
New teen driver, permit phase
The Permit Log turns every supervised drive into a practice session — total hours, the night-driving subset, and the permit-hold clock, all tracked toward your state’s requirement, with a DMV-ready certificate at the end.
Two cars, two drivers
Each car has its own report; each driver sees their own miles. Shared-expense settlements get easier when the numbers aren’t up for debate.
College kid borrowing the car
The trip records who drove, where, and how far. If they put a tank in, it goes in the log — settling reimbursements without the receipt-on-the-fridge dance.
Older relative, peace of mind
A shared account keeps a quiet log of an aging parent’s driving without a tracker on them. They drive; you can check they made it home.
One account, every device, every driver
AutoDrive runs quietly in the background on each phone and rolls everything into one shared view.
On every phone
Each driver tracks automatically on their own iPhone or Android — no buttons to remember.

Questions families ask
Is AutoDrive free for families?
Tracking your own driving is free forever — one driver and one vehicle, with automatic tracking, route maps, and stats. To share across the household, the Personal plan adds up to 5 drivers and 5 vehicles in one shared account group with per-driver reports.
How many drivers and vehicles can we add?
The Personal plan supports up to 5 drivers and 5 vehicles; Fleet supports up to 20 of each. Need more? Extra drivers and vehicles are available as add-ons inside AutoDrive Online — add or remove them any time as your household changes.
Can I track my teen’s permit or supervised driving hours?
Yes — that’s the Permit Log. Flag a driver as a supervised permit driver and every drive is logged automatically as a practice session (duration, day or night, and conditions), tallied toward your state’s requirement. Requirements vary by state — many expect 30–60 logged hours before the driving test, often including a night-driving subset and a minimum permit-hold period — and AutoDrive tracks all three, then exports a DMV-ready Certificate of Supervised Driving you can print and verify.
Does everyone see everyone’s trips?
Within your account group, yes — that is the point of a shared family account. Roles control who can manage the group: Owners and Admins manage members and settings, while a Driver logs trips against the household’s vehicles. Each trip is attributed to the driver who took the car, and that attribution locks when the drive starts.
Can I see where a family member is driving in real time?
Real-time location sharing (LiveDrive) is a Fleet feature — it is not part of the Free or Personal family plans. On a family plan you see each trip after it ends: its route on a map, the distance and time, and which driver took the car, all synced to everyone in the group. It is shared mileage history, not live tracking.
How does the driving safety score work?
Each drive earns a score from 0 to 100 based on how smoothly it was driven. Hard braking, sharp acceleration, hard cornering, and speeding are each detected and pinned on the route map where they happened, color-coded by severity — so you can review a trip together instead of guessing.
Does it work on iPhone and Android?
Yes. AutoDrive runs on iPhone and Android and syncs to the web at AutoDrive Online. Everyone in the household can be on whichever phone they have — it all rolls into one shared account.
One account. Every driver. Every car.
Set up your household in minutes. AutoDrive tracks each trip automatically and keeps the whole family on the same page.
